Ball Position
If upon locating
his ball a player discovers that it has come to rest in a patently absurd lie
or outrageously unplayable position under circumstances in which he is not otherwise
entitled to claim relief, he may rectify the grossly inequitable playing condition,
without penalty, by tapping, kicking, or throwing his ball to the nearest playable
lie, provided he clearly states that if he is required to play his ball as it
lies, he is likely to exhibit behaviour not in the best interests of golf.
